Job summary

Donaldson is seeking a Planner I to develop and coordinate production schedules based on customer orders and delivery requirements. The role focuses on planning, scheduling, and materials management using Oracle ERP to drive reliable execution and inventory accuracy.

This position requires on-site work at the Chillicothe, MO facility. Qualified candidates should have manufacturing scheduling experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to communicate across departments to ensure on-time

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
• Planning and scheduling experience in manufacturing.
• Bachelor's or associate’s degree in supply chain or related area (preferred).
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Plans and develops weekly production line schedules based on master schedule.
• Schedules rework, unfinished parts, new product releases and special orders.
• Analyzes shortages of manufactured and purchased parts and prepares support materials.
• Maintains on-time delivery by coordinating with customers, sales, and plant teams.
• Expedites parts and adjusts schedules as needed, and communicates issues to management.
• Supports other areas and adheres to SOPs and PPE policies.

The Planner I will develop and coordinate production schedules based on customer orders and delivery requirements. Supporting a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, the position focuses on production planning, scheduling, and materials management using Oracle systems to drive reliable execution and inventory accuracy.

Qualified candidates must be able to work an on‑site schedule at our Chillicothe, MO facility daily.

Role Responsibilities

• Plans and develops weekly production line schedules of assigned departments based on the master schedule plan.
• May schedule rework, unfinished parts and assemblies, new product releases and special orders.
• Analyzes shortages of both manufactured and purchased parts. Prepares all necessary support materials for production which includes route sheets, preparing shop packets, and printing shipping documents.
• Establishes effective communication with various groups such as customers, sales offices, Corporate, and plant production departments to ensure the on-time delivery of products through monitoring work orders from start to finish.
• Expedites and secures parts needed for production.
• Makes or recommends revisions to planned production schedules as necessary when schedules cannot be met which includes planning and preparing backup schedules and directing production supervisors on utilization of personnel.
• Keeps manager informed of production scheduling issues requiring attention .
• Provide support in other areas when required.
• Comply with standard work practices and SOPs.
• Complies with all EHS and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Planning and scheduling experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate’s degree in supply chain, business, or related area.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle
• Experience in lean manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel to perform data analysis and ad-hoc reports
• Good communication skills and strong sense of teamwork
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks effectively
