Job summary

Central Power Systems & Services is seeking a Production Planner to support the Generator Manufacturing Division. You will use ERP/MRP to interpret demand, manage materials, and schedule production to meet quality and delivery targets.

The role involves coordinating with multiple teams for on-time manufacturing and distribution. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of production planning experience in a continuous flow environment, strong analytical skills, and solid proficiency with Microsoft

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Degree in supply chain management, business management or related field preferred.
• CPIM accreditation or related certification advantageous.
• 1–3 years' proven experience as a production planner in a continuous flow operation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Sound knowledge of MRP and related software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Order materials and track procurement timelines.
• Monitor scheduling timelines and production delays.
• Manage production staffing and workload as needed.

Production planners, also known as production schedulers, are responsible for the smooth running of production within the manufacturing industry. They ensure that products are produced in a cost-effective way that meets quality and customer specifications, and that they are ready to distribute in a timely fashion. Production planners use Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), a software system that manages a company's operations, to improve efficiency and productivity.
