Job summary

Delva Tool & Machine is seeking a Planner in Cinnaminson, NJ to own day-to-day scheduling for the primary production department. You will learn our ERP, manage the master production schedule across multiple work centers, and take ownership within 90 days to keep jobs moving and delivery on time.

You will analyze capacity vs. load, lead scheduling meetings, coordinate with Sales, Engineering, and Operations to incorporate changes, and maintain accurate ERP data on routing and lead times to drive

Qualifications

• 3+ years of production planning or scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on ERP experience managing routing, work orders, and scheduling data.
• Proven ability to run or participate in capacity planning and schedule attainment meetings.
• Clear written and verbal communication: presenting schedule status regularly.
• APICS CPIM or equivalent supply chain credential is a nice-to-have.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the master production schedule across work centers, departments, and outside processes, keeping expected completion dates accurate and visible to the team.
• Analyze capacity versus load, spot bottlenecks before they hit delivery, and recommend adjustments that keep jobs moving on time.
• Lead daily or weekly scheduling meetings with production leadership, covering status, risks, and recovery actions.
• Partner with Sales, Engineering, and Operations to fold in new orders, engineering changes, and expedite requests without losing control of the schedule.
• Keep routing, cycle time, and lead time data current in the ERP so the schedule reflects reality, not assumptions.
• Track on-time delivery, schedule attainment, and WIP turns, then drive root cause analysis when we miss and put corrective actions in place to prevent a repeat.

Planner

Delva's shop floor runs two shifts across Vertical Mills, Lathes, Swiss Lathes, and Mazak 5-axis horizontals, and right now the schedule that keeps all of it moving needs an owner. You'll step in, learn our ERP and part mix, and take over day-to-day scheduling for our primary production department within the first 90 days.

What You'll Own

What We Bring

Delva Tool & Machine is an AS9100 Rev D certified precision machine shop in Cinnaminson, NJ. We hold tolerances to +/-0.0002" on aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, and tool steels for aerospace and defense customers where late or wrong is not an option. Our facility runs automated pallet systems and robotic loaders, so the pace is real and the scheduling complexity is genuine. This is not a spreadsheet-and-hope operation: your schedule directly controls what ships and when.

What You Bring

Must-have:

• 3+ years of production planning or scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on ERP experience managing routing, work orders, and scheduling data (not just viewing screens).
• Proven ability to run or participate in capacity planning and schedule attainment meetings.
• High school diploma, GED, vocational certificate, associate's degree, or equivalent work experience.
• Clear written and verbal communication: you'll be presenting schedule status to production leadership regularly.

Nice-to-have:

• Background in aerospace, defense, or high-mix/low-volume precision machining environments.
• Experience with S&OP or long-range capacity planning processes.
• Familiarity with scheduling KPI dashboards and reporting tools.
• APICS CPIM certification or equivalent supply chain credential.

Pay and Benefits

$38.46 - $57.69/hr ($80,000 - $120,000/yr), depending on experience and level. This is a full-time, 1st-shift position at our Cinnaminson, NJ facility.
