Job summary

California Community Foundation seeks a Planned Giving Officer within the Development & Donor Relations team in Los Angeles. This role focuses on identifying, developing and managing relationships with professional advisors to promote CCF’s services and secure legacy gifts.

You will cultivate new donors, steward existing ones, and assist the Senior Planned Giving Officer with gifts of complex assets, ensuring broad coverage across Los Angeles and driving strategic business development for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Law degree preferred; certifications such as LL.M., CTFA, CFP, CSPG, CPA or CFA desirable.
• Minimum 5 years related experience in legal services, development, financial services, or foundation environments.
• Experience in tax or estate planning matters in a professional setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and manage relationships with professional advisors to promote CCF’s services.
• Acquire new legacy donors and steward existing CCF donors.
• Assist the Senior Planned Giving Officer in facilitating gifts of complex assets.
• Collaborate with the department to ensure coverage across Los Angeles and implement planned gift business development strategies.
