Job summary

Auburn University is seeking a Planned Giving Officer to join its philanthropy team. You will build relationships with donors and advisors, develop personalized giving plans, and stay ahead of tax and estate planning trends to help donors meet their philanthropic goals.

The role focuses on collaboration with university representatives and external advisors, managing a significant portfolio, and ensuring timely completion of gift plans and endowment agreements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of experience in fundraising, marketing, sales, and/or public relations.
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of experience in fundraising, marketing, sales, and/or public relations.
  • Driver License, Valid and in State included under Licenses & Certifications

Responsibilities

  • Guide donors and advisors in shaping tax efficient philanthropic vision and create meaningful plans.
  • Collaborate with donors, families, advisors and university representatives to align goals with Auburn’s needs.
  • Develop and present personalized giving plans with attention to donor values and financial goals.
  • Oversee a dynamic portfolio of planned gift prospects and guide them through qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.

Education

Bachelor’s degree + 2 years experience in fundraising, marketing, sales, and/or public relations
