Job summary

Roche is seeking a field-service oriented professional to maintain and install Roche products on-site. You will diagnose mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures, perform updates, and document all actions per quality procedures.

This role requires travel up to 90%, with preference for candidates near Denver, CO. The candidate should have a high school diploma with technical training or an engineering/chemistry degree, plus strong communication and customer-service skills.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or equivalent work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site preventative maintenance and installation of Roche products.
  • Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures and perform updates and reagent conversions.
  • Document all activity in accordance with quality procedures and train for required certifications.
  • Travel up to 90% and ensure high customer satisfaction while maintaining Roche equipment.

The opportunity: This position serves as a resource for the technical maintenance and installation of Roche products for assigned product lines. Performs on-site preventative maintenance, installation, and technical updates (TSB’s) on company product(s). Diagnoses mechanical, hardware, software and system failure, using established procedures as necessary when performing preventative maintenance, installation, technical updates (TSB’s) activities, and routine reagent conversions. Documents all activity in a manner compliant with company’s quality procedures. Requires specific training and certification. May adapt procedures, processes, tools equipment and techniques to meet the more complex requirements of the position. Duties are generally routine but may include non-routine tasks. Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.

Relocation benefits are not available for this position. This role will require roughly 90% travel, our ideal candidate would reside in Denver and be 50 miles from the Denver airport.

Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma and 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or equivalent work experience
  • 2 years of experience repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking or equivalent level of competency attained through appropriate training curriculum OR a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or related field.
Preferred Requirements
  • Good written/verbal communication, organization and prioritization skills.
  • Knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, and information technology.
  • Knowledge of basic chemistry.
  • Effective customer service skills, which includes a positive attitude and helpful customer interaction.
  • Applies industry acceptable practices and procedures to install, and maintain, Roche Diagnostics equipment. Schedules and performs preventative maintenance, modifications and conversions as required per department policy.
  • Responsible for ensuring and maximizing customer satisfaction with Roche equipment and related products. Promotes effective, positive, and productive communication among team to ensure and maximize satisfaction of customer base.
  • Completes and documents all service and customer account related reports, updates, and emails in a timely and professional manner, compliant to all company quality procedures and guidelines. * Maintains expenses within departmental guidelines and controls inventory and all company property.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Colorado is $55,900.00 - $103,700.00 USD Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
