Job summary

Roche is seeking a Field Engineering Specialist to support laboratory customers in Colorado. The role involves travel to install, repair, and service Roche products, acting as the main technical contact and performing preventative maintenance.

Applicants should have a high school diploma with technical training or equivalent experience, plus multiple years in mechanical/software support or networking, and must be able to travel including overnights. A discretionary annual bonus may be available.

The Position
The Opportunity
  • Travel to showcase expertise in the technical repair and installation of Roche assigned product lines.
  • Deliver valuable service to laboratory customers within your assigned territory.
  • Provide routine technical support, including on‑site service, repair, and installation of Roche products.
  • Act as a key customer contact for technical and service‑related issues and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures.
  • Document all activities, contribute to quality improvement, and focus on maximizing customer satisfaction.
Who You Are
  • High school diploma and 2 years of technical training or equivalent military experience or work experience (required).
  • 5 years of progressive experience in repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless, or a Bachelor’s degree with 1-2 years of progressive experience (necessary).
  • Successful completion of training or certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy (mandatory).
  • Ability to travel, including overnight travel (required).
Preferred Qualifications
  • 8+ years of progressive experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of progressive experience (required).
  • Advanced knowledge of electronics, electro‑mechanical systems, information technology, and basic chemistry.
  • Ability to serve as an internal technical resource, provide after‑hours support, and maintain strong customer relationships (essential).

Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting. This is a field‑based role that requires daily travel and up to 60% overnight travel; an ideal candidate would live within the territory.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Colorado is $71,100 to $132,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available.
