Job summary

West Fraser is seeking a Planer Supervisor to oversee safety and production across the planer mill, dry kilns, and shipping, as a member of the mill's leadership team in Kentucky. The role requires leading the hourly workforce, driving process improvements, and ensuring safety compliance.

A pre-employment drug screen and background check are required, with a strong emphasis on internal growth and long-term commitment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of prior experience as a supervisor or lead.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Demonstrative safety leadership.
• Excellent team-building and motivational skills.
• Understanding of accounting and financial metrics for a mill operation.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
