Job summary

Partners Legal Search represents a growing plaintiff-side personal injury firm seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its practice in Los Angeles. The role offers hands-on responsibility across the litigation lifecycle and potential for long-term career growth within the firm.

Requirements include a J.D. from an ABA-accredited school, active bar in California, and 2–3+ years of litigation experience (or ~1 year with substantive exposure).

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active and in-good-standing California bar membership.
• Ideally 2–3+ years of litigation experience; strong candidates with ~1 year of substantive litigation considered.
• Plaintiff-side personal injury litigation experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with discovery, depositions, motion practice, and case management.
• Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Comfortable communicating directly with clients.
• Organized and capable of independently managing deadlines and case responsibilities.
• Genuine interest in building a long-term career with a growing plaintiff-side practice.

Responsibilities

• Managing personal injury litigation matters from initial case development through resolution
• Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, and other litigation documents
• Conducting and defending depositions
• Managing written and document discovery
• Communicating directly with clients regarding case strategy and developments
• Evaluating claims, damages, and potential case resolutions
• Preparing matters for mediation, settlement negotiations, hearings, and trial
• Working closely with experienced attorneys on litigation strategy
• Helping move cases efficiently toward successful resolution
