Jobot is seeking an Employment Attorney in Los Angeles or Newport Beach, CA, offering a base salary range of $130,000 to $200,000 per year and 3–8 years of experience. This California-based plaintiffs’ firm focuses on representing employees in discrimination, harassment, wage theft, and related workplace injustices.

You will work onsite full-time, handle plaintiff-side matters, draft motions, take depositions, and mentor junior staff, with a collaborative pod-structure and opportunities for

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active California Bar membership.
• 3–8 years of litigation experience; 5+ years in employment law/plaintiff-side in CA preferred.
• Proven motion writing, depositions and courtroom advocacy; class-action exposure desired.
• Experience with PAGA, FEHA and wage-and-hour litigation is highly desired.
• Energetic, entrepreneurial mindset; willing to work onsite full-time and travel for trials.

Responsibilities

• Handle plaintiff-side employment litigation under FEHA, PAGA and wage-and-hour laws.
• Draft motions and oppositions, conduct legal research, manage case strategy and deadlines.
• Take and defend depositions of employees, corporate witnesses, experts and others.
• Collaborate with case managers, paralegals, assistants and senior attorneys in a pod-structure.
• Mentor junior attorneys and support staff if given a leadership opportunity.
• Engage in client development, relationship-building, settlements and trial prep.
