Job summary

Vouch Insurance is seeking a Placements Broker in the San Francisco area with 3-5 years of experience placing insurance risks for small businesses. You will place Cyber, Professional Liability, Management Liability, and P&C lines, while drafting submissions and negotiating terms for clients.

You’ll analyze client needs, stay current on market trends, and collaborate with Sales and Client Services to ensure accurate quotes and seamless servicing. A P&C license is required.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of insurance industry experience, preferably in a brokerage or underwriting environment.
  • Experience placing or supporting Cyber Liability, Professional Liability, Management Liability, and P&C policies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex coverage concepts clearly.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with insurance brokerage management systems and Google Suite.
  • Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers and underwriters
  • Stay current on market trends, carrier appetite, and coverage developments within the relevant product lines
  • Collaborate with sales executives and client service teams to ensure seamless handoff and servicing of accounts
  • Provide guidance to clients on coverage options and risk management strategies

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Placements Broker with 3-5 years’ experience placing insurance risks for small businesses. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced insurance professional to join a dynamic and client-focused team.

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience working with Cyber Liability, Professional Liability (E&O), and Management Liability (D&O, EPLI, Fiduciary), and Commercial (GL, BOP, etc.) insurance products. This role involves developing tailored solutions for clients and working closely with underwriters to secure the most competitive and comprehensive coverage available.

What You’ll Do:
  • Place all lines of business (Cyber, Professional Liability,Management Liability, GL, etc.) for clients
  • Support Sales and Client Managers by analyzing client needs and exposures to develop placement strategies that align with their risk profile

About You:

Compensation philosophy:
The base salary for this role varies by location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a variable annual bonus.

  • San Francisco & New York: $90,000 - $112,000 + 15% variable annual bonus
  • Chicago: $84,000 - $100,000 + 15% variable annual bonus

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry and are part of our total compensation package, which also includes benefits and other perks. We also include stock options in all compensation packages and believe all Vouch employees should have the opportunity to become owners in the company. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skill set, location, and business need. The pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
