JOB SUMMARY: The bədaʔčəɬ Placement Specialist is responsible for placement support, caregiver support, case aide, emergency placement response, and coordination services for children and families served by bədaʔčəɬ. Conducts home visits, placement support activities, background checks, home studies, transportation, supervised visits, documentation. While collaborating with placement families, Tribal Social Workers, and community partners.

COMPENSATION: $25.31

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Associate’s degree or coursework in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Behavioral Health, Criminal Justice, Family Studies, or related field preferred.

MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE

  • One (1) year of professional experience providing direct services and support to families, youth, or clients in a human service, Tribal, education, healthcare, community, or social services setting involving client interaction, documentation, caregiver support, transportation, home visits, case aide activities, program support, or related direct service responsibilities.
  • One (1) year of computer experience utilizing Microsoft Office programs.

SKILLS TESTING

  • Documentation & writing exercises.

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES

  • WA State Driver’s License. (Personal Auto Insurance)
  • Must adhere to the Motor Vehicle Regulation (Abstract Required)
  • CPR/First Aid Certificate.
  • Mandated Reporter Training. *Will allow six (6) months to obtain
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a contracted position.
