Job summary

Bill Wilson Center in San Jose, CA is seeking a Full-Time position for the Here 4 You Call Center to assist in providing shelter referrals for those in need.

The role encompasses answering phone calls, collecting intake information while adhering to HIPAA standards, and coordinating with various agencies. Qualifications

• Desirable qualifications include insight into homelessness and/or a combination of lived experience, education, and work in the social services sector.
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification required (or completed within 30 days of hire).
• Fingerprinting/background check as required.

Responsibilities

• Answer routine and emergency phone calls related to individuals seeking shelter placement.
• Collect personal information needed for intakes utilizing HIPAA best practices.
• Determine appropriate emergency shelter placement and process referrals to homeless service providers.
