Oracle PL/SQL Developer – Hybrid (Jacksonville, FL)

45-50/hr on w-2 (No C2C)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join our Database Group. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle database development, PL/SQL programming, and performance tuning. You will play a key role in designing schemas, optimizing SQL queries, developing stored procedures, and maintaining large-scale database systems.

As a critical team member, you will contribute to enterprise-level software solutions, ensure data integrity, and support mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Database Development & Performance Optimization

• Design schemas, tables, views, and indexed views to optimize database performance.
• Develop stored procedures, triggers, and packages using PL/SQL.
• Create complex SQL queries, SSIS jobs, and SSRS/Power BI reports.
• Optimize and tune SQL queries, stored procedures, and applications for high performance.

System Integration & Software Development

• Support ELT development in RDBMS environments.
• Work with large-scale batch data processing and data warehousing concepts.
• Develop Unix/Linux shell scripts for database automation tasks.

Code Maintenance & Compliance

• Reverse-engineer and troubleshoot complex code written by other developers.
• Ensure all database programs comply with best practices and coding standards.
• Maintain proper source code documentation and versioning (Git, CI/CD pipelines).

Leadership & Collaboration

• Mentor junior developers and lead knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Participate in design meetings and consult with stakeholders.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively across teams.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development.
• Strong expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and dynamic SQL.
• Experience with Oracle 10g, 11g, 12c.
• Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts and large-scale data processing.
• Strong Unix/Linux shell scripting skills for automation and data processing.
• Experience with complex indexing strategies, including column store indexing.
• Proficiency in XML, web services, and debugging tools.
• Experience with Git and versioning tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize existing codebase.
• Strong leadership and mentoring experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Netezza SQL.
• Knowledge of Power BI, SSIS, and SSRS.
• Familiarity with .NET technologies (C#, ASP.NET, MVC 5, JSON, jQuery).
