OVERVIEW

The University of St. Thomas has three openings to join the self-operated Dining Services team as a Pizza Cook (Cook I).

POSITION DETAILS

  • Full Time, 12 months out of the year
  • Pays $19.00/hr
  • Evening Shift
  • Work directly for the university, not a food service company

This position is fully benefits eligible. The University of St. Thomas offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits program, which includes:

  • 3.5 weeks Paid Leave Time (begins accruing immediately upon hire date)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide assistance in the food preparation of meals in back-of-house or front-of-house operations
  • Interact with customers and prepare customized, made-to-order menu items in a high-volume environment
  • Prep food throughout shift and assist all culinary staff in completing prep sheet
  • Set up/close down open line workstation for service
  • Follow ServSafe food handling guidelines and maintain a clean work station

This position works a flexible schedule based on business needs and could include nights and weekends.

  • Successful completion of a criminal background check is a condition of employment for all Dining Services positions
