Job summary

Amante's Italian Restaurant in Deerfield Beach is seeking a Pizza Chef to lead the pizza station, ensuring proper setup, accurate order communication, and plating to our quality standards. You will maintain a clean workstation and collaborate with kitchen staff to deliver great guest experiences.

The role emphasizes following policies, sanitation, and safety standards, accurate prep lists, and timely communication with expediters; a positive, energetic attitude is essential for success.

Qualifications

• The ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures (employee handbook adherence).
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Possess a valid food handlers certification.
• Able to perform simple math calculations and understand units and measures.
• Able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for the duration of a shift.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Able to lift, stoop, and bend.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company policies and maintains proper station setup.
• Receives and communicates guest orders, prepares and plates menu items to standards.
• Maintains a clean and organized pizza station.
• Communicates orders to station cooks with accuracy.
• Ensures menu items are prepared according to quality standards.
• Adheres to sanitation and safety audits and uniform standards.
• Coordinates with expediter/server for timely delivery of plated dishes.
• Participates in end-of-shift checkout procedures and teamwork across the kitchen.
