Job summary

Mellow Mushroom Johnson City is seeking a Pizza Baker to join our Kitchen Team. You’ll help prepare dough, sauces, cheeses, and toppings, monitor temperatures, and ensure fast, fresh, stone-baked pizzas that delight guests.

You will follow recipe cards, maintain a clean workstation, adhere to brand standards, and support the kitchen during peak times. This role offers competitive pay, employee meals, and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Brand Standards for uniform appearance and personal grooming.
• Completes duties on opening, closing and prep checklists.
• Refers to Daily Prep List at the start of each shift for assigned duties.
• Prepares all food ingredients in accordance with Mellow Mushroom portion sizes and recipe specifications.
• Use our Recipe Cards for preparing all products. Does not rely on personal memory or of other team members.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation including tables, shelves, walls, kitchen, and refrigeration equipment.
• Prepare the pizza dough, sauces, cheeses, and toppings; become an expert at stretching dough.
• Monitor exact temperatures and cooking times for our premium stone-baked pizzas.
• Be comfortable talking to co-workers and guests; extend the Mellow vibe to everyone.
• Prepare the Mellow specialty pizzas our guests crave and rave about.
• Follow proper nutrition and sanitation guidelines; promote food safety above all else.
• Promptly reports equipment and food quality concerns to Management.
• Informs Management immediately of product/ingredient shortages.
• Remember that your work contributes to our guests’ enjoyment of food taste and plate presentation.
• Be comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting heavy items while keeping a positive attitude.
