Job Summary

Agri Industries Inc is seeking a skilled Pivot Service Technician to join our team. We are a well-established irrigation sales and service provider with locations in Montana, North Dakota, and Wyoming. This role is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing agricultural irrigation systems, including center pivot systems and pump controls.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical ability, problem-solving skills, and experience in agricultural or irrigation systems. Candidates with a farm background or mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply—training is available for the right individual. Key Responsibilities

Working Conditions

This position is primarily field‑based and requires working outdoors in agricultural environments. Must be able to lift equipment, climb, bend, and perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions.

Requirements
  • General knowledge of electricity
  • Basic mechanical skills to change tires, u‑joints, gear boxes or wheel boxes
  • A general understanding of modern irrigation equipment is helpful
  • Background in Agriculture is beneficial
  • Motivated to work independently
  • Requires a driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
  • Irrigation experience beneficial

Must be detail oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking, managing several projects at one time, excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, ability to adapt, take direction, and learn new systems and processes as needed. Committed to customer satisfaction with a high regard for others and completing tasks on time. Must be proficient in communication skills and demonstrate those skills and abilities.

Summary

We are seeking to hire either an experienced Ag irrigation service person or someone that has the electrical, mechanical and construction skills, plus agriculture background and commitment to learn. Our center pivot and service work includes but is not limited to the following:

Computer control panels, Telemetry/Remote controls, Pump panels, GPS control systems, Multiple motor circuits and controls, Crash repair, erection, winter service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities and Expectations
  • Assist with repairing and troubleshooting irrigation systems
  • Customer Service
    • Perform all necessary service needed to customers to maintain their irrigation system.
    • Communicate with customer via phone or in person to discuss new systems or maintenance of existing systems
    • Provide estimates as needed
    • Coordinate with the parts department to assure the required parts are on hand or ordered as needed
    • Expand customer base by additional advertising or cold calls etc
    • Follow up with customers after service is completed to assure everything is completed satisfactorily, if not determine job needs and finalize.
  • Documents and Reports
    • Implement policies set by manager for customer invoicing
    • Review all work order’s for each customer job for correctness to make sure all parts are included and unused parts are taken off reservation for job.
    • Verify all Material Lists per job
  • Work Hours: All days and hours needed to grow the pivot service department
  • Professional Dress: Agri logo button down shirts, clean jeans and appropriate PPE.
  • Show Respect to all Customers and Employees
  • Communication: 24 hour turn around on all emails, texts or phone call responses.
