Job summary

Pipeyard seeks an experienced Service Manager to lead pivot irrigation service operations in southeastern Colorado, including Rocky Ford and Granada. You will serve as the primary client contact and oversee day-to-day field service activities.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on technical knowledge of pivot systems (Valley, Reinke, Zimmatic), and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver timely, high-quality service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical certifications in agriculture or mechanical systems preferred.
• Experience supervising service management, irrigation, or field operations.

Responsibilities

• Act as the lead liaison for clients with service needs related to pivot irrigation systems.
• Oversee and schedule service teams, ensuring proper deployment and accountability.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless end-to-end service delivery.
• Handle service escalations and resolve complex technical issues.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and maintain knowledge of service protocols.
• Mentor and train field technicians on procedures, safety, and customer interaction.
• Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly reports on KPIs and productivity.
• Implement and improve SOPs for pivot service delivery and follow-up.
• Ensure proper use of company tools, equipment, and resources.
• Support recruitment, onboarding of new service team members.
• Maintain compliance with safety and company policies.

Position Summary

Pipeyard is seeking an experienced and driven Service Manager to lead and oversee its pivot irrigation service operationsin southeastern Colorado. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for clients requiring service on pivot irrigation systems and is responsible for the day-to-day management, training, and development of the field service team.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, deep technical knowledge of pivot irrigation systems, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver timely, high-quality service. This role is critical to ensuring Pipeyards reputation for excellent customer service and technical reliability continues to grow in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the lead liaison for clients with service needs related to pivot irrigation systems
• Oversee and schedule service teams, ensuring proper technician deployment, productivity, and accountability
• Coordinate with internal departments (sales, inventory, finance, etc.) to ensure seamless end-to-end service delivery
• Handle service escalations and act as point-of-contact for complex technical issues requiring resolution
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting support and maintain detailed knowledge of product systems and service protocols
• Mentor and train field service technicians on service procedures, safety standards, and customer interaction
• Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly reports on service KPIs, performance metrics, and team productivity
• Implement and continuously improve SOPs related to pivot service delivery and follow-up
• Ensure proper use and accountability of company tools, equipment, and resources
• Support recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new service team members as needed
• Maintain compliance with all applicable safety and company policies

Reporting Structure

• Reports To: General Manager
• Supervises:Field Service Technicians (Rocky Ford & Granada)
• Coordinates With: Inventory Control, Finance, Technical Training, and Ownership

Qualifications

Education and Licensing

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications in agriculture or mechanical systems preferred

Experience

• Minimum 35 years of supervisory experience in a service management, irrigation, or field operations role
• Proven expertise with pivot irrigation systems (Valley, Reinke, Zimmatic, etc.) is highly desirable
