Job summary

Unique Industries, Inc. is seeking safety-minded material handlers to operate Powered Industrial Truck equipment (PIT Operator) in Blairs, VA. PIT Operators contribute to production and efficient workflow within the department, including maintaining pick standards, for the department through the use of various powered equipment.

We offer competitive pay with a starting hourly rate of $18.00, with actual pay determined by qualifications and company guidelines. Unique Industries, Inc.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret related documents.
• Ability to understand written and oral instruction.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to multi-task and follow through on requested tasks.
• Must attain and keep current P.I.T license.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use repetitive hand motions.

Responsibilities

• Assists department by selecting product for requested work.
• Assists with troubleshooting problems within the work process and relays this information to Leads and/or Supervisor.
• Responsible for picking/packing orders, shipping, receiving, inventory, and performing other general warehouse duties.
• Completes appropriate paperwork for department according to specific SOP.
• Replenishes materials ordered to stock assigned zone.
• Exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others, and works to maintain constructive working relationships.
• Demonstrates a commitment to company-wide quality and safety.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
