Job summary

Brakebush Brothers, Inc seeks a Pit I (Pallet Jack Operator) at our Irving, TX facility. The role is full-time, hourly, nonexempt, reporting to Shipping Supervisor/Manager. You will operate pallet jacks, move loads, and support a fast-paced production environment.

Required: high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of experience, ability to stand/walk up to 8 hours, lift and bend, with pre-employment physical and drug test. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• Ability to frequently bend, lift and twist.
• Must be able and available to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Transporting loads using a pallet jack as assigned by manager/supervisor, verifies/matches labels and production contents.
• Load raw materials into dumper (by PO/Kill Date requested by Lead/Supervisor/Machine Operator) to correct line.
• Remove product from line and weigh.
• Ensure product is properly labeled, covered, and stretched wrapped before removing from area.
• Ensure pallet is not damaged, and free of chicken or broken boards of finished goods.
• Place all finished goods in a bin in SAP.
• Clean floors to maintain sanitation.
• Stage products for production lines or department to department.

Job Summary: Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following: Transporting loads using a pallet jack as assigned by manager/supervisor, verifies/matches labels and production contents.

Essential Functions:

Load raw materials into dumper (by PO/Kill Date requested by Lead/Supervisor/Machine Operator) to correct line

Remove product from line “Weigh”

Assure product is properly labeled, covered, and stretched wrapped before removing from area

Assure pallet is not damaged, is free of chicken or broken boards of finished goods

Place all finished goods in a bin in SAP

Cleaning of floor to assure Sanitation gets started promptly

Write issues to be sent to production

Stage product for production lines or department to department

Responsible of operating the pallet jack under it’s maximum weight allowed by OEM

Communicating with management when there are concerns with the following

Production Safety Employee relations

Performs other related duties as assigned to support production demands as may be specified by customer or client

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Education : High school diploma or equivalent

Experience : One year work experience.

Other Requirements : No other requirements.

Working Conditions: High noise, varied temperatures (warm to cold), slippery floors, moving equipment and dust may be present. Employees will wear personal protective equipment as necessary or required.
