Job summary

TEICON is seeking an experienced Piping Supervisor for a fixed-term project in the greater Nederland, Texas area. The role involves supervising piping construction on site, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring work aligns with isometrics, layouts, specifications, and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a technical education in mechanical/piping engineering or a qualified piping/welding tradesperson with strong supervision experience.

Qualifications

• Completed technical education or degree in Mechanical, Piping or Process Engineering, or tradesperson with site supervision experience.
• Several years' hands-on experience as Piping Supervisor or Site Supervisor in industrial projects.
• Fluent English; reading and interpreting piping isometrics and layouts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate piping construction activities on site.
• Ensure works follow isometrics, layouts, specs, schedules, and codes.
• Coordinate subcontractors and site crews with daily planning and progress tracking.
• Interface with Mechanical, Welding, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Commissioning teams.
• Monitor installation quality, welding, material traceability, and HSE compliance.
• Support inspection, pressure testing, flushing, and pre-commissioning activities.
• Identify issues and work with engineering to resolve them.
• Provide structured progress reporting to site and project management.

YOUR PROJECT ASSIGNMENT

TEICON ENGINEERING is currently building a candidate pool for an upcoming large-scale project in the field of industrial process plant construction in the greater Nederland area, Texas.
The project will involve site-based execution activities within a complex industrial environment and is scheduled to start in Q2, with an initial duration of approximately six months and a potential extension.

• Project Location: Greater Nederland area, Texas
• Start Date: Q2 (exact date to be defined)
• Contract Type: Fixed-term employment or freelance contract
• Duration: Approx. six months, with option for extension
• Workload: Typically up to 56 hours per week, 6 days per week

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and coordinate piping construction activities on site within an industrial plant environment.
• Ensure that piping works are executed in accordance with isometric drawings, piping layouts, specifications, schedules, and applicable codes and standards.
• Coordinate subcontractors and site crews, including daily task planning, progress tracking, and workforce supervision.
• Interface closely with Mechanical, Welding, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Commissioning teams to ensure proper execution and interface management.
• Monitor installation quality, welding activities, material traceability, and compliance with safety and HSE requirements.
• Support inspection activities, pressure testing, flushing, and handover processes in preparation for pre-commissioning and commissioning.
• Identify technical or execution-related issues on site and support their resolution in coordination with engineering and project teams.
• Provide structured progress reporting and clear communication to site and project management.

YOUR PROFILE

• You have a completed technical education or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Engineering, Process Engineering, or a comparable discipline, or you are a qualified piping or welding tradesperson with strong site supervision experience in industrial projects.
• You have several years of hands‑on experience as a Piping Supervisor, Site Supervisor, or Piping Foreman in industrial plant construction or heavy industrial projects.
• You are familiar with piping fabrication and erection activities, including welding, fit‑up, supports, and testing procedures.
• You have solid experience working with subcontractors and multicultural site teams.
• You are confident in reading and interpreting piping isometrics, layouts, specifications, and material documentation.
• You demonstrate a strong safety mindset and are experienced in working under strict HSE regulations.
• You communicate clearly and professionally in English; additional language skills are an advantage but not required.
• You are willing and able to work on site in the United States for the full project duration, including extended working hours if required.
