Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) is seeking a Piping/Plumbing Engineer II for our Chapel Hill office. You will develop and document piping systems from concept through design, using design criteria and feedback from users, partners, and field surveys.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in relevant piping/plumbing design, an engineering degree (BSAE/BSME), and a PE license or plan to obtain one, with proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.

Qualifications

• Requires engineering degree (BSAE/BSME)
• 3+ years in piping/plumbing design for healthcare, labs, industrial or institutional facilities
• PE license or ability to obtain
• Proficiency with engineering design software (Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks) preferred

Responsibilities

In this role, you will exercise independent judgment to develop and document system designs from concept plans and technical design criteria and interprets and utilizes information set forth in basis of design as well as information gathered from users, project partners, field surveys, and code research.

Qualifications

Expertise of our most successful Piping/Plumbing Engineer II:

• BSAE or BSME required.
• 3+ years of experience in designing piping/plumbing systems for healthcare, laboratory, industrial or institutional facilities.
• PE License or ability to become licensed.
• Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks) preferred.
