Job summary

Intertek’s Port Arthur team seeks a Piping Inspector to ensure QA/QC plans align with project execution. You will promote quality awareness, oversee inspection activities, and coordinate with engineers, field workers, and contractors to verify compliance with codes and drawings.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and thorough documentation, with opportunities to advance as part of Intertek’s global quality network.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of piping inspection experience preferred
• Industry standard certifications (CWI, API, etc.) preferred
• Proficient Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Capture results of inspection/observations and report in a timely manner
• Ensure suppliers/contractors have relevant, up-to-date codes, standards, specifications and drawings
• Interface with discipline engineer, construction engineer, field workers and inspectors in a professional manner
• Witness and monitor suppliers/contractors work activities, inspection and test per QA/QC plans
• Assist review of Quality Plan, ITP and QA/QC documentation prior to fabrication/construction
• Verify implementation of PTW, LOTO and other safety procedures
• Schedule and monitor ongoing NDE activities
• Work well in a team and communicate clearly with team members
