Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Pipe/Coating Bench Inspector for a five-week assignment in McKeesport, PA. You will conduct inspections in pipe mills and coating facilities, prepare inspection reports, and witness testing to ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards.

The role requires at least five years in pipe QA, strong knowledge of codes and standards, and proficiency with MS Office. Strong teamwork and English fluency are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Prefer at least five (5) years’ experience with pipe related quality assurance systems.
• Familiar with/able to interpret and understand a) national codes and standards and b) specifications, drawings and data sheets as they are related to multi-discipline construction and/or pipe projects
• High school/GED or higher education
• Fluent in English (i.e. reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with email and internet communication systems
• Ability to work well with others and detailed oriented

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection activities, using tools necessary for accurate measurement and determination of compliance to specifications
• Provide daily inspection results to the Lead Inspector or Project Coordinator, preparing and issuing inspection reports, when required
• Witness testing and monitor project activities, as required
• Witness/verify pipe loadout onto trucks, railcars, barges or ocean vessels in accordance with specifications and industry standards

As a Pipe/Coating Bench Inspectoryou will be responsible for conducting inspection activities in pipe mills, coating mills and/or loading/unloading/stockpile locations in accordance with Client, Intertek and Industry procedures, specifications and other requirements necessary for achieving the desired levels of quality, as it pertains to the project or assignment.

Location: McKeesport, PA

Anticipated Projection Duration: 5 weeks starting in early December 2026

What you’ll do:
