Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an Entry level helper to support skilled craftspersons on construction sites. You will learn to read isometric drawings, measure, fabricate and install piping, and assist with welding preparation by aligning and securing components.

Under supervision, you will handle tools, rigging, and layout tasks, while gaining practical experience with vessels, pumps, and piping systems and contributing to hydro testing efforts as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; prior field experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools and layout tools.

Responsibilities

• Learn to read isometric drawings and fabricate piping.
• Assist with aligning, bolting, and securing components for welding.
• Assist with assembling and securing pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment.
• Layout and install equipment, vessels, skids, pumps, pipe, and supports.
• Assist with hydro testing piping systems.
• Handle materials and rigging equipment safely.
• Operate beveling machines, grinders, torches, magnetic drills, and saws.
• Read and follow project specifications.
