The role requires physical stamina and ability to handle tools and materials on a busy job site. The position emphasizes reading isometrics, measuring, fabricating, and installing piping, with exposure to welding prep and equipment handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with experience in related field.
• Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions and communicate clearly with supervision.
• Field experience in chosen craft discipline and safe tool usage.

Responsibilities

• Learn to read isometric drawings, take measurements, fabricate and install piping efficiently.
• Assist skilled craftsman to align, bolt, and clamp components for welding.
• Assist with assembly and securing of pipes, tubes, fittings, and equipment according to specs.
• Position and secure materials during installation and follow plans and specs.
• Handle and distinguish different metal thickness and types.
• Operate beveling machines, grinders, hammers, torches, drills, and a Saw-Zall.
• Layout and install equipment, vessels, skids, pumps, pipe and supports.
• Assist with hydro testing piping systems.
