Job summary

LDIS LLC, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking a Piping Designer III to support oil and gas facilities. You will develop 3D piping models, draft P&IDs, and generate isometrics and MTOs for refineries, gas processing facilities, and related processing plants.

Ideal candidates have 4–10 years of drafting and design experience, familiar with ASME B31.3/31.8 basics, and proficient in AutoCAD 3D/CADWorx. The role involves independent work, under supervision, with attention to schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–10 years of design, drafting and modeling experience.
• Oil and gas experience including refineries and gas processing.
• Proficient in current engineering design and drafting software packages.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for 3D piping and equipment models of entire projects; optimizes piping design with some supervision.
• Provides verbal input during model reviews.
• Drafts P&ID redlines and develops high level P&IDs from scratch.
• Generates project deliverables (isometrics, piping plans, plot plans, MTOs) under self-sufficiency.
• Under supervision, generates project piping estimates for review with management.
• Tracks schedule and budget during the duration of a project.
