Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Piping Designer with 4–10 years of drafting and design experience for energy, petrochem, renewables, and industrial facilities. Responsibilities include 3D piping modeling, P&ID creation and redlines, isometrics and MTOs, and applying ASME B31.3/B31.4/B31.8 codes.

Ideal candidates understand process flow in oil & gas plants, refineries, and gas processing, and can generate project estimates under supervision with attention to schedule and budget.

Qualifications

4-10 years in design, drafting and modeling.
Experience with oil and gas facilities including refineries and gas processing.
Proficient in engineering design and drafting software.

Responsibilities

Create 3D piping and equipment models for projects.
Draft P&ID redlines and develop from-scratch P&IDs.
Produce deliverables: isometrics, piping plans, MTOs.
Understand ASME/ASTM codes (B31.3, B31.4, B31.8).
Understand process flow in facilities (well pads, compressors, dehy units, gas processing, refineries).
Generate project piping estimates under supervision.
Track schedule and budget and manage scope changes.
