Job summary

LDIS LLC, a Tetra Tech Company, offers a Piping Designer role supporting oil and gas facilities with 3D piping, P&ID drafting, and isometrics. 4–10 years of drafting experience and familiarity with ASME codes are preferred.

You will work independently on projects, track schedules and budgets, and help generate estimates under supervision. Target pay ranges are $40–$48/hr with comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and post-secondary training preferred.
• 4–10 years’ experience in design, drafting and modeling.
• Oil and Gas experience including refineries and gas processing.
• Proficient in current engineering design and drafting software packages.
• Operational knowledge of spreadsheet and database programs.

Responsibilities

• Produce 3D piping and equipment models for projects.
• Draft P&ID redlines and develop high level P&IDs.
• Generate project deliverables including isometrics, piping plans, and MTOs.
• Understand basic ASTM and ASME B31.3, B31.4 and B31.8 codes.
• Understand process flow in facilities such as well pads and refineries.
• Under supervision, generate project piping estimates.
• Track schedule and budget and anticipate manpower changes.
• Track scope changes and initiate change orders.
