Job summary

Job Summary

Designs, develops, creates models/assemblies with CAD for various types of HVAC equipment.

Essential Responsibilities/Activities

• Uses computer design software (CAD) to develop models and drawings.
• Generate conceptual and preliminary drawings to be used for development of product.
• Tasked with updates and revisions to existing designs, maintenance of current product offering.
• Will handle design projects that are marked up/handed off.
• Confers with engineering management to complete assigned projects.
• Collaborates with Engineers, management, and other creative departments to determine design solutions.
• Provides complete bill of material by defining when, where, and why parts are used.
• Maintains and builds professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, or participating in professional societies.
• Travels when necessary

Education and Experience Requirements

Two-year technical degree preferred. Minimum of 1-2 years in the HVAC industry or equivalent experience in a similar industry.

Essential Physical Functions

• Lift up to 50lbs.

• Periodic visits to the manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.
