Job summary

Flexicrew Technical Services is seeking a Piping Designer to execute piping layouts, 3D models, isometrics, and MTOs for heavy industrial projects. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure compliance with codes, client specs, and company standards throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires 4–8 years of piping design experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, CADWorx and Navisworks, and familiarity with ReCap or CloudWorx for point-cloud data.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of piping design/drafting experience on heavy industrial or process plants.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, CADWorx and Navisworks.
• Experience with point-cloud software such as ReCap or CloudWorx.
• Experience with 3D model review and clash detection preferred.
• Strong understanding of piping design practices and codes.

Responsibilities

• Perform piping design and drafting activities, including 3D routing and layout of process and utility piping systems.
• Determine and layout pipe supports and develop piping isometric drawings.
• Prepare sketches and drawings for piping fabrication and installation.
• Read and interpret equipment drawings from vendors and integrate them into designs.
• Develop piping material take-offs (MTOs) and ensure CAD standards are followed.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop integrated 3D models for construction.
