Job Title: Piping Designer
The Piping Designer is responsible for designing and laying out piping systems in industrial or marine environments using 3D design software. They create detailed drawings for fabrication shops and field crews to build, modify, and install piping systems. This role involves reviewing existing systems, designing new pipe routes, creating fabrication packages, and solving layout challenges in complex environments where space is limited and conditions may not match the original drawings.
The role involves working both on the floor of a ship and at a desk creating fabrication drawings. The environment includes supporting maritime projects under a government contract, providing opportunities to engage in ship repair and modernization efforts. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR.
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $41.27/hr.
