Job summary

Hargrove is seeking a Piping Designer in McIntosh, AL to perform comprehensive piping and mechanical design tasks. You will contribute to project tasks with familiarity in P&IDs, GA drawings, and piping specifications, while coordinating with field teams and clients on ongoing projects.

The ideal candidate brings 4+ years of industrial piping drafting experience, strong knowledge of piping materials, and proficiency with 2D AutoCAD and Microstation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant industrial experience in mechanical/piping drafting and design.
• Knowledge and application of piping materials.
• Design of less complex process and utility piping systems.
• Familiarity with piping supports and restraints, as well as valve sizing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in complete design of mechanical/piping assignments under supervision.
• Develop and draft piping drawings from P&IDs, GA, equipment drawings, and specifications.
• Perform field design work to assess current conditions and communicate with client personnel.
• Prepare material take-offs from piping drawings.
• Plan and manage site design activities for optimum results and support startup activities.
