Job summary

Mariana Minerals seeks a Manager, Piping Design & Engineering to lead the piping discipline across refining and minerals processing facilities. You will own the 3D model, metadata, and workflow from P&ID to IFC, and drive standards, reviews, and automation with a focus on safety and reliability.

You will manage a team of designers and stress engineers, coordinate blended delivery, and ensure compliance with ASME B31.3 while advancing piping materials, valves, and supports.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in piping design and engineering in EPC/EPCM or owner-operator capital projects.
• Direct experience managing a piping design department or group.
• Ownership of 3D model development from concept through IFC with multidiscipline reviews.
• Experience developing piping material and valve specifications and pipe support criteria.
• Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3 and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the piping design team, hire and develop designers and stress engineers.
• Manage blended delivery: in-house, staff augmentation, and third-party groups.
• Load-balance work, manage schedules, and coach designers through tasks.
• Own the 3D model end-to-end in Plant 3D and Revit, including metadata and IFC output.
• Define model and drawing requirements, standards, and revision control.
• Run model reviews (30/60/90%) and Navisworks clash detection across disciplines.
• Own piping stress program, set criteria, and approve packages.
• Drive automation, model-to-stress data exchange, and QC scripting.
