Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors is seeking a mid-level Mechanical/Piping Designer to perform complete designs under supervision. You will develop piping drawings from P&IDs and GA’s, prepare material take-offs, and coordinate with clients and startup teams.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of industry experience, an associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD, and proficiency in 2D CAD tools. Located in the United States, this on-site role supports a broad range of piping projects.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD is required.
• 4+ years of relevant industrial experience in mechanical/piping drafting and design.
• Proficiency with piping materials, supports and restraints, and valve sizing.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete mechanical/piping designs under supervision.
• Assist in design of piping drawings from P&IDs, GA’s, and equipment drawings.
• Develop and draft moderately complex piping drawings.
• Prepare material take-offs from piping drawings.
• Coordinate with client personnel and site startup teams.
