Job summary

Environmental Air Systems in Browns Summit, NC is seeking skilled Pipe Welders to join our manufacturing shop. You will work primarily with Carbon Steel, reading blueprints and following safety procedures to fabricate and install welded components.

This full-time position offers weekly pay, medical/dental/vision, a 401(k) with match, life insurance, and disability coverage. Candidates should have at least five years of pipe welding, SMAW proficiency, and the ability to pass ASME IX tests.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school education or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years of pipe welding experience.
• Proficiency in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW).
• Ability to pass certifications tests on Carbon Steel Schedule 40 Pipe, open root joint, and 6G fixed position per ASME IX.

Responsibilities

• Weld in various positions according to safety-oriented procedures.
• Perform 100% weld quality in all positions.
• Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products.
• Install and repair equipment and components.
• Follow blueprints to meet product specifications.
• Calculate material measurements to verify specifications.
• Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance.

Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is seeking skilled Pipe Welders to join our manufacturing shop in Browns Summit, North Carolina. In this role you will work primarily with Carbon Steel.

Schedule:

6:00am-4:30pm with OT as necessary

Location:

5955 Summit Ave, Summit Ave, Browns Summit, NC 27214

Responsibilities:

• Weld in various positions according to safety-oriented procedures

• Perform 100% weld quality in all positions

• Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products

• Install and repair various equipment and components

• Follow blueprints to meet product specifications

• Calculate material measurements to verify specifications

• Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in welding, manufacturing, or other related fields

• Proficiency in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)

• Must possess welding attire

• Familiarity with welding tools, equipment, and procedures

• Familiarity with engineering blueprints and schematics

• Ability to pass certifications tests on: Carbon Steel Schedule 40 Pipe, open root joint, and in the 6G fixed position; welds performed must meet ASME Sec IX Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code requirements

Education Requirements:

• Minimum of a high school education or equivalent

• Minimum of five (5) years of Pipe Welding experience

Job Requirements/Special Skills:

• Ability to speak and read either English or Spanish required Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

• Ability to step over and work on top of fixtures that are 28 inches off the floor when necessary

• Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold and where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
