Job summary

Dover Food Retail (DFR) in Conyers, GA is seeking a Piper I to perform brazing and assist with unit layout and setup for refrigeration systems. You will work with copper and steel tubing, using torches and various fabrication tools, under established standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic math and reading skills, and the ability to interpret instructions. Safety and teamwork are emphasized, with opportunities to develop hands-on craft on industrial refrigeration

Other duties may be assigned** * Measure, cut, bend, assemble and install copper and steel tubing.* Performs the following tasks:* Use Torch to apply solder, (braze copper to copper pipes)* Brazing Fundamentals* Operate Copper Saw* Operate Tube Bender* Flare Making* Suction Piping* Discharge Piping* Pressurizes and leak checks units* Tools: tube cutters, hand vise, power benders, files, flaring/swedging tools, torch **What are the qualifications:** * High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.* Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
