Dover Food Retail is seeking a Piper I in Conyers, GA to perform brazing and tubing assembly for refrigeration components. Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, bending, assembling, and installing copper and steel tubing, as well as torch brazing and leak testing.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent) and basic math, reading, and reporting abilities. Training involves using tools like tube cutters, torches, and benders in a manufacturing setting.

**Job Title:** Piper I**Location:** Conyers, GA **Summary:**Performs brazing to install refrigeration components and assists with unit layout and setup in accordance with established standards by performing the following duties.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned*** Measure, cut, bend, assemble and install copper and steel tubing.* Performs the following tasks:* Use Torch to apply solder, (braze copper to copper pipes)* Brazing Fundamentals* Operate Copper Saw* Operate Tube Bender* Flare Making* Suction Piping* Discharge Piping* Pressurizes and leak checks units* Tools: tube cutters, hand vise, power benders, files, flaring/swedging tools, torch**What are the qualifications:*** High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.* Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
