Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a Pipeline Welder in Melbourne, FL to perform certified welding duties, shop welding, and related maintenance tasks. This role emphasizes safety, quality, and adherence to industry standards, with significant travel and after-hours availability for emergencies.

The ideal candidate has welding experience, reads blueprints, and holds or can obtain required certifications (API 1104/1107). CDL or the ability to obtain one within 12 months is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical welding degree preferred; relevant work experience accepted in lieu.
• CDL or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Must pass and maintain API 1104/1107 certifications within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding on pipeline and facility assets; ensure welds meet standards.
• Safely operate welding truck and travel between sites.
• Use beveling machines, torches, grinders and related tools.
• Conduct line locating, pipe exposure, coating application/removal, and surface prep.
• Support hot work permits and safety analyses per procedures.
• Respond to high-priority emergencies; minimize risks to people and environment.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory; ensure proper storage.
• Read blueprints and create as-built drawings; understand confined space and pipeline safety rules.
• Travel 70–75%; perform additional tasks as needed.
