Job summary

WhiteWater Midstream seeks a Utility Technician in Sealy, TX to support pipeline operations while gaining hands‑on experience. The role is part of a structured 24‑month Pipeline Utility Position Program progressing from entry to higher levels, with emphasis on safety and technical skill development.

You will work with senior staff, perform routine inspections, assist in maintenance and testing, and participate in training sessions to learn procedures and safety practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree in a technical field or 3+ years equivalent work preferred.
• Work experience in plant or pipeline operations, mechanical maintenance, I&E, or natural gas measurement preferred.
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite tools.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Willing and able to work shift schedule, overtime, nights, weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Learn to safely operate and care for tools, equipment, and vehicles used in daily operations.
• Assist in inventory and restocking of supplies and materials.
• Observe and follow safety rules and procedures, wear protective equipment.
• Participate in training sessions and safety meetings to learn operations.
• Assist with startup, shutdown, and operation of equipment/systems.
• Assist with damage prevention activities including pipeline patrols and locating underground utilities.
• Conduct routine inspection and operation of equipment and pipelines.
• Respond to alarms and problems within the pipeline system and make corrections.
• Perform a variety of mechanical maintenance and repair duties.
• Assist with calibration and repair of end devices such as transmitters, switches, and gas detection devices.
• Oversee contractors for specialty services as needed.
• Read and comprehend technical procedures and governmental regulations.
• Occasional travel including nights and weekends; perform other duties as required.
