Job description

HF Sinclair Midstream, located in Artesia, NM, is seeking a Pipeline Technician. This role involves responsibilities for the maintenance and safe operation of crude and refined products pipelines within the HFSM pipeline area.

Job Duties

Essential functions (as defined by ADA) include:

• Working on pipeline equipment, rights of way, and pump stations
• Performing preventative maintenance on pumps, pipelines, rights of way, and stations
• Completing maintenance records, work orders, and documentation
• Ensuring equipment operates properly and responding to system upsets
• Verifying compliance with DOT requirements and conducting inspections
• Following safety procedures and representing the company externally
• Calibrating safety equipment and suggesting operational improvements
• Responding to emergencies and analyzing machinery data, including vibration signatures
• Monitoring one-call systems and dispatching as needed

Additional tasks may be assigned by supervisors.

Experience & Education

• At least 3 years of pipeline-related experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred

Skills

Knowledge of the pipeline industry, rotating equipment, and maintenance practices; intermediate reading, writing, and math skills; computer proficiency; effective communication. Familiarity with DOT safety regulations is preferred.

Work Conditions

Work involves office and field environments, with up to 25% travel. Conditions include exposure to chemicals, pressure vessels, outdoor weather, and safety hazards.
