Job summary
ONE Gas is seeking an intermediate engineer to coordinate and perform activities related to the design, operation, and maintenance of pipeline and storage systems and related facilities. The role requires working with multiple departments and outside contractors on bids, line extensions, and corrosion/pipeline integrity projects.
Candidates should have 2–4 years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of piping standards, and proficiency in GIS, AutoCAD, Synergi, Excel, and asset management
Qualifications
- Two to four years of relevant professional experience; minimum one year required.
- Knowledge of piping plan standards and related governmental regulations.
- Experience with math, algebra, calculus, and statistics.
- Experience using GIS, AutoCAD, Synergi, Excel, Access, and asset management tools.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and perform engineering activities related to design, operation, and maintenance of pipeline and storage systems.
- Collaborate across regions and departments, including contracts, accounting, operations, and customer services.
- Provide technical assistance on meter/regulator settings, pipeline modeling, and asset planning.
- Research and prepare pipeline system analyses, bid proposals, contracts, and status reports.
