Job summary

ONE Gas, Inc. is seeking an engineer to support design, operation, and maintenance of pipeline and storage systems in Austin, TX. You will coordinate projects across regions and departments, while providing technical guidance on meters, regulators, and facility design.

The role requires 2–4 years of relevant experience, knowledge of standards and regulations, and proficiency with GIS, AutoCAD, Synergi, and other engineering tools. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Two to four years of relevant engineering experience; minimum one year required.
• Knowledge of piping plan standards and related governmental regulations.
• Experience with math, algebra, calculus, and statistics.
• Experience using GIS, AutoCAD, Synergi, Excel, Access, Technical Toolbox, Copperleaf, Maximo, Solidworks, or similar software.
• Experience in reading and interpreting regulations, blueprints, contracts, and technical docs.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform engineering activities for design, operation and maintenance of pipeline and storage systems.
• Coordinate projects among regions, departments, and contractors including bid proposals, line extensions and projects.
• Provide technical assistance on meters, regulators, facilities, design, and pipeline modeling.
• Prepare information such as engineering designs, capacity studies, risk studies and bids.
• Ensure regular attendance and perform additional duties as assigned.
