Job summary

Boardwalk Pipelines, LP in Houston, TX seeks Engineers I–III to oversee design, estimation, planning and execution of complex pipeline projects. You will lead cross-functional teams to deliver safe, efficient, and compliant solutions aligned with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and a minimum of 2 years’ pipeline engineering experience, with strong analytical skills and ability to interpret DOT/ASME/FERC standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience related to Pipeline Engineering.
• Experience developing scopes of work and cost estimates.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret natural gas industry codes and regulations including DOT 49 CFR 191, 192, 193; ASME B31.3, B31.8; FERC 18 CFR.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction in evaluating operational challenges and developing solutions for pipeline and facility issues.
• Partner with stakeholders to estimate maintenance capital and projects aligned with long-range objectives.
• Develop and maintain a multi-year project portfolio database for planning and capex forecasting.
• Monitor project performance, milestones, budgets, and schedules, addressing risks.
• Identify opportunities to bundle or optimize projects for cost efficiency and reduced impacts.
• Oversee procurement, approve specifications, and negotiate contracts for cost control and quality.
• Provide governance of third-party engineering and construction contractors for safety and quality.
• Lead interdisciplinary teams with technical guidance and mentorship for project delivery.
• Interface with customers to ensure requirements are met cost-efficiently.
• Deliver SME guidance to operations and construction personnel.
