Job summary

Ruby-Collins Inc. in Atlanta, GA seeks a skilled Pipeline Pipelayer / Pipe Fitter to install and align pipe, valves, and fittings on underground utility projects. You will work closely with operators and foremen to ensure proper line and grade, quality, and safety compliance on site.

Qualified candidates have 2+ years in pipe laying/fitting, ability to read plans, and a strong safety mindset. Travel as needed with per diem provided; company offers competitive benefits and a stable,

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience laying or fitting pipe on pipeline or underground utility projects.
• Willing to travel; commutable to job site with week‑long out-of-town stays; per diem provided.
• Ability to read tape measures, grade stakes, and cut sheets; knowledge of lasers and joint-assembly methods is a plus.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs, work outdoors, and maintain safety per OSHA standards.
• Authorized to work in the US and pass pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Pipe installation, alignment, and joining in trenches to line and grade as specified.
• Measure, cut, bevel, and fit pipe, valves, hydrants, and service connections per specs.
• Assist with tie-ins, thrust blocks, restraints, and testing prep for pressure tests.
• Coordinate with operators and laborers using hand signals and radios.
• Inspect materials for damage and report field issues to Foreman.
