Qualifications

• 1+ year experience operating backhoe/mini excavator.
• Experience around underground utilities.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Operates, maneuvers, navigates, or drives vehicles or mechanized equipment such as forklifts or passenger vehicles.
• Uses control mechanisms or physical activity to operate machines or processes.
• Inspects equipment, structures, or materials to identify errors, problems, or defects.
• Determines compliance with laws, regulations, or standards and communicates abnormal conditions to supervisors.
• Meets company and customer specifications for trench or backhoe jobs.
• Exposes underground utilities manually.
• Conducts post-job quality checks.
• Cleans, checks fluid levels and inspects equipment for safe operation and paperwork.
