Job summary

Pembina Pipeline U.S. is hiring an Operations Technician in New Ulm, Minnesota.

The Technician will support safe and reliable transportation of products through inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting at a pump station base in Wheaton, MN, with rotations on-call and opportunities for overnight travel. Responsibilities include coordinating with Field, Engineering and Technical Support personnel, following Life Saving Rules, and ensuring compliance with Pembina procedures and regulatory

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in the energy industry (preferred).
• Hands-on experience with various computer applications.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to work under limited supervision.
• Ability to work well in a team and interface with Field, Engineering, and Technical Support personnel.
• Ability to perform safe and efficient operations in a fast-paced environment.
• Results oriented with flexible/adaptable approach to change.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pump station and meter station operations as part of a technician team.
• Perform routine pipeline operations and maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting, repair of pump/meter station equipment, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Locate and mark Cochin facilities prior to and during excavation.
• Ensure all duties are completed safely and in compliance with procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Provide oversight to ensure asset protection and compliance during excavation activities near pipeline facilities.
• Participate in a 7-day on-call rotation and occasional overnight travel.
• Be willing to work overtime as needed.
• Support a positive, collaborative work environment and safe operations.
