Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a Mechanical Technician to inspect, maintain, repair, and install pumping and related mechanical systems across pipeline facilities. The role requires handling preventive maintenance, overhauls, and assemblies with a focus on safety and accuracy.

The ideal candidate has a HS Diploma or equivalent with 2–5 years of pipeline mechanical experience, familiarity with PLCs, blueprints, and electrical controls, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather while

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent including 2-5 years of pipeline mechanical experience.
• Familiarity with PLCs, ladder logic, electrical control circuitry.
• Ability to read mechanical blueprints, vendor drawings, piping drawings, and P&ID.
• Safely use PPE and stay aware of hazardous areas.
• Computer literacy with Windows, MS Word, and Internet.
• Able to perform heavy physical labor outdoors and work alone.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, repair, and install pumping and other mechanical/hydraulic equipment along pipeline segments.
• Perform preventive maintenance, overhauls, and reconditioning of pumps and related components.
• Dismantle/reassemble equipment; measure, align, and calibrate pumps and motors.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&ID, and vendor drawings.
• Adhere to safety requirements and operate PPE in hazardous areas.
• Maintain driving license and comply with company policies.
