Job summary

ONE Gas in Austin, TX is seeking an engineer to support MAOP records verifications, reconfirmation projects, and material verifications. The role involves reviewing installation documents, tests, and drawings, and developing MAOP reconfirmation workstreams with a strong emphasis on safety and accuracy.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Engineering, is proficient with AutoCAD and data tools, and demonstrates teamwork, effective communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline required.
• Working knowledge of piping plan standards and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with math, algebra, calculus, and statistics.
• Experience using AutoCAD, Stoner, Excel, Access or similar tools.
• Knowledge of transmission/distribution pipeline operations and safety procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret regulations, blueprints, contracts and reports.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform basic engineering activities to support MAOP records verifications.
• Assist MAOP reconfirmation projects and material verifications.
• Review installation documentation, pressure tests, material specs, and drawings.
• Provide technical support to management and field personnel.
• Collaborate with customers, contractors, and regulatory personnel on projects.
• Prepare information such as engineering studies and bid proposals.
